Morocco has launched major rail projects, including a $2.2 billion urban mobility program in Casablanca as part of a wider national goal to develop its rail network by 2040. These initiatives aim to boost the economy by improving connections between business centers and supporting the tourism industry, with the overall national plan costing around $9.5 billion to $10.4 billion. The projects include upgrades and new high-speed lines connecting cities like Rabat, Casablanca, and Marrakech, along with the purchase of new trains.
